Employee Appreciation Fund

The Employee Appreciation Fund (EAF) is the process for receiving contributions from residents, their families, and others for distribution to eligible hourly employees to thank them for their service and care throughout the year. The EAF campaign is administered by the Resident Council in October and November to collect the donations. This year on December 14, the council presented holiday bonuses to the eligible employees.

The 2018 EAF drive concluded on December 1 and for the second year in a row, residents really came through with their donations to express their thanks and appreciation to the wonderful PVE team members. The push in the second half of November went right past the goal of $230,000 on to a total of $250,000.

From January through September, $24,000 was raised by individual donations through PVE’s Finance Department. That accounted for approximately 10 percent of the total raised. From October through November, $226,000 was raised through direct donations dropped in boxes in Laurel Creek, Quail Creek, and the Community Center. This represented 90 percent of the total raised.

Some mini-facts from the 2018 Employees Appreciation Fund:

  • Total Donations 2014-2018: $1,162,000
  • Total Donations 2017-2018: $506,000
