Savor 2019

PVE residents welcomed guests from Solano Winds as they sipped fine wines from Suisun Valley vineyards, enjoyed finger-food canapés, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts while listening to flute selections, jazz piano, combo rhythm and blues, and a saxophone duet.

The PVE Chorale, in conjunction with Fairfield’s community concert band, Solano Winds, made good on the promise of a memorable Sunday afternoon when they co-sponsored a benefit wine-tasting event, SAVOR 2019. Guests received a stemless wine glass embossed with Solano Winds’ familiar logo on one side and the PVE Chorale senior singers on the other as they entered the lobby and were greeted by hosts from the chorale and Solano Winds.

Rawlinson Hall was configured to form conversation stations around the room with wine poured in a central area and hot and cold appetizers available at convenient locations throughout. The music contributed to the intimacy of the occasion.

Four wineries — Back Road Vines, Caymus Winery, Galvan Family Cellars and GV Cellars — offered tastings to guests, who were encouraged to sample vintage wines freely and to accompany their wines with gourmet appetizers prepared by “chefs” from Solano Winds and PVE. Savor 2019 was an opportunity to savor local wines, fine canapés and great music in the company of like-minded friends.
