PVE Hosts Groundbreaking for The Ridge

On a rainy Wednesday, March 27, Paradise Valley Estates held a celebratory groundbreaking for The Ridge, the Northern California Life Plan Community’s new eight-acre neighborhood currently under development. Expected to be complete in early 2021, The Ridge will add 70 brand-new residences to the existing 321-home, 76-acre community.

With public sales now underway, already half of the new residences have been reserved by depositors.

The event, which featured an official ground-breaking ceremony, included community and civic leaders, current campus residents, future Ridge residents and members of the Paradise Valley Estates community. Speakers included: Harry Price, Mayor of Fairfield; Bill Fernow, president of the PVE Resident Council; Cecil “Bud” Ross, past chairman of the PVE Board of Directors; and, Kevin Burke, CEO.

Perkins Eastman’s Leslie Moldow, The Ridge’s principal architect and designer, presented Burke with a silver award from the National Association of Home Builders honoring the project for a Best of 55+ Housing Awards.

Along with 70 new open-style cottages, villa apartments and penthouses, Paradise Valley Estates will gain additional community-wide amenities including a new art studio, a woodworking shop, an outdoor fire pit with seating, a new fitness center and two new restaurants: one formal and one casual.
