Countdown to The Ridge Spotlights Dining and Wellness

In April, our Countdown to Move-In Series continued as future residents of Paradise Valley Estates enjoyed a virtual exploration of two of the Life Plan Community’s most popular services: dining and wellness.

When The Ridge opens in July, all Paradise Valley Estates residents will be able to enjoy new dining options and settings along with the community’s existing venues. Dave Kalbaugh, dining services director, introduced future residents to The Ridge’s new spaces, which span from formal to casual.

The Oak Room hosts full-service dining, a cozy cocktail lounge, a show kitchen and pizza oven. The space opens onto the expansive Flight Deck, an outdoor patio offering a gorgeous view of the nearby iconic Valley Oak Tree and Paradise Valley Golf Course. An adjustable covering, heaters, cooling fans and a glass windscreen permit all-season enjoyment of the scenic view. At the new Creekside Café, residents can choose from pre-made, cooked-to-order or take-out meals.

As Linda shares in the video, Paradise Valley Estates’ top-notch dining is matched by an equally stellar community wellness and activities program. Jan Olson, director of wellness, noted to future residents that their new home is part of a community that focuses extensively on their entire wellbeing.

Wellness at Paradise Valley Estates includes nationally recognized and national-award winning physical fitness programming. But that’s just the beginning. Residents also gain greater fulfillment through lifelong learning; emotional support; clubs and special interest groups; spiritual opportunities; regional and cultural excursions; on-campus social events and seasonal parties; and more. Residents can join in as many or few activities they like. Whether volunteering at a local nonprofit or working on a skills-based committee, our residents are invited to be involved and engaged in community life.

As we welcome Ridge residents this summer, we’re thrilled they’re part of a new chapter in our 76-acre community’s history. As part of our ongoing master plan, the Community Center was broadly refreshed from floor to ceiling in 2020. In 2021, the changes will continue with residential and community-space remodels and more.

We’d love for you to plan a visit so we can take you inside our brand-new model home and show you first-hand why joining our vibrant Life Plan Community could be a great next step for you.
