Ridge Neighborhood Adds to Distinctive Dining

One of the greatest aspects of living in Paradise Valley Estates has always been — and continues to be — the on-campus dining. The community’s dining services team, led by trained culinary professionals, believes in fresh, local sourcing and prepares a wide range of menu-style courses for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

PVE residents can enjoy distinctive meals in a variety of dining experiences around the community including formal tableside meals in the main dining room, a hearty Café-style breakfast or a casual patio lunch al fresco. The Dining Services team, led by director David Kalbaugh, creates a vast selection of dining options from light soups and salads to full, four-course dinners complete with appetizer and dessert.

According to Kalbaugh, with the community’s anticipated eight-acre Ridge neighborhood now under development, residents will enjoy even more exceptional dining experiences in the years to come.

With construction scheduled for completion in 2020, The Ridge will offer new dining choices for all residents of Paradise Valley Estates. Diners will be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in The Ridge’s vast indoor/outdoor dining venue with restaurant-style service both inside and out plus a full-service cocktail lounge. Another community-based Café will offer a range of casual dining fare. Residents can enjoy the community’s outdoor grilling and picnic area for their own celebrations as well as planned community gatherings.

Each day the 26-member culinary team, led by David, crafts more than 700 meals and then enjoys a front-row seat to scores of satisfied customers.

“After all these years, we’ve grown to understand the preferences of our residents,” he says. “On top of that, we try to mix things up. We incorporate seasonal ingredients, what’s trending, and, sometimes, a specific event theme. Each meal culminates in a beautifully presented plate we’re proud to serve.”
