PVE Scholarship Committee Awards Six Grants
The Scholarship Committee offers limited financial assistance with scholarship grants to selected PVE employees seeking certificates of completion, credentials or degrees. Since 2004, we have awarded 121 scholarships totaling about $169,000. Grants are made in the spring and fall each year.
PVE is fortunate to have a wonderful group of employees who demonstrate a great work ethic and make our lives so much easier. One way we can show our gratitude is by making tax-deductible donations to the scholarship fund (the sole source of funding).
For this term, we awarded six scholarships to employees:
Brianna Cudmore has been at PVE for almost seven years working in Marketing and Dining. She holds a BA degree and is working toward a master’s degree in psychology.
Michelle Kreider has been a Certified Nursing Assistant at Laurel Creek for the last three years. She is working on prerequisites for a respiratory therapy program and has passed the board for a BS degree in nutrition and dietetics.
Leslie Leutenegger is a Certified Nursing Assistant at Laurel Creek. She has a 4.0 GPA for her prerequisites at Solano Community College and has been accepted into San Francisco State’s Bachelor of Science Nursing Program.
Baille Lutz works as a server at PVE. She attended community college during high school and will enter Sacramento State University as a junior at age 19, hoping to obtain a BA degree in criminal justice in two years.
Darien Espiritu is a Certified Nursing Assistant in PVE’s assisted living. Darien has an AA degree as an emergency medical technician and is pursuing an associate degree in nursing with a goal of a bachelor’s degree in nursing. He has been on the Dean’s List six times at Solano Community College.
Tiffany Vila is a Licensed Vocational Nurse at both Laurel Creek and Quail Creek. She is working on her prerequisites for her nursing program leading toward a degree as a registered nurse.
