PVE is CARF Certified

During the January Town Hall meeting, CEO Kevin Burke shared the exciting news that PVE has successfully earned a five-year re-accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). PVE is accredited through January 31, 2024.

This honor was no small feat. In order to receive accreditation, our community had demonstrated compliance with 1,540 elements of international standards of excellence. Surveyors were on site for three days meeting with management, team members, residents, family members, the resident council and even the Board of Directors.

During the survey, surveyors reviewed files, policies, procedures and conducted interviews to verify compliance with each element of every standard. Why subject ourselves to this process? CARF International accreditation provides a visible symbol that assures current and future residents that PVE is committed to continually enhance the quality of services and programs provided and that we hold ourselves to the highest standards in the industry. This accreditation symbol is more than a plaque to hang on the wall; it is a confirmation of our commitment to quality, process improvement and customer focus.

About Paradise Valley Estates, CARF’s president and CEO Brian J. Boon, Ph.D. wrote, “Your organization should take pride in achieving this high level of accreditation.” And added, “CARF commends your organization’s commitment and consistent efforts to improve the quality of its’ programs and services.”

Immediately following the announcement, the full CARF survey was immediately uploaded to the PVE Pulse. Additionally, a community meeting was held on in February to review the survey results. Areas of compliance, strengths and growth opportunities were all shared followed by a champagne toast to celebrate the achievement.
