Local Planner: Vacaville Fiesta Days
Vacaville Fiesta Days began in 1957 and was originally dubbed Western Fiesta. Back in those days, the primary attractions were a two-day rodeo and a bounty of square dancing. Even then the celebration featured Fiesta Days’ now-traditional barbecue and parade.
Decades on, community members of all stripes still gather together in honor of the area’s Spanish and Mexican heritage during the extended weekend outdoor celebration. This year Vacaville Fiesta Days is back for its 65th anniversary — after a two-year hiatus — stretching from Thursday, May 26 until Monday, May 30.
Each day features thrilling carnival rides, a family fun zone, food vendors and tons of daily live entertainment with the parade taking place at 10am on Saturday, May 28. On Sunday, May 29 enjoy a singing competition. See all daily events.
Pop over to Andrews Park (614 East Monte Vista Avenue) in downtown Vacaville to be part of the fun. Admission is free. Visit www.VacavilleFiestaDays.org for more details.
