Local Planner: Journey of Paul and Julia Child
Visit the Napa Valley Museum Yountville to experience the world premiere of France is a Feast: The Photographic Journey of Paul and Julia Child, an exhibition of photographs by Paul Child depicting his life with wife Julia Child in France. The exhibit, which has been held over through May 20, was curated by Katie Pratt and inspired by the book by Alex Prud’homme and Katie Pratt.
Enjoy rarely seen black and white photographs taken by Paul in France between 1948 and 1954. See photographs of Paris, Marseille and the French countryside after the Second World War displayed alongside rare objects and intimate pictures of Paul’s wife, Julia.
Also available is an exclusive audio tour featuring the voice of Julia Child, and interviews with chefs Jacques Pépin, Thomas Keller, Cindy Pawlcyn; “Julia & Jacques” television producer Susie Heller; and Alex Prud’homme, grandnephew of Paul Child and co-author of Julia’s best selling memoir, “My Life in France.”
