Local Planner: Candy Cane Lane and Lollipop Lane

Vacaville’s Arlene Drive and Shady Glen Avenue have famous alter egos come holiday season. Each year, beginning around December 1, the streets become a busy winter wonderland of blazing lights as they burst into the wildly popular Candy Cane Lane and Lollipop Lane community light display.

For years, the residents of the two streets have collectively decorated their homes and yards to the nines with pulsating lights, holiday inflatables and every kitschy display imaginable. Each year thousands of visitors flock to the area to either drive or walk through the holiday wonderland.

This year is no exception as the 2020 season is already underway. If you plan to visit on foot, you can usually find plenty of parking on Fruitvale Road. From there, a small walking trail leads straight to Arlene Drive. If you plan to visit by car, go slow and exercise care. Many families visit with children and pets are welcome provided they are leashed and cleaned up after.
