Discover Fairfield this Summer

Here at PVE, residents are connected by our love of new experiences. There’s no shortage of engaging recreational and cultural activities to enjoy on campus, but we also like to get out into the Fairfield community to explore its many offerings.

Our friends at Visit Fairfield do a great job at keeping us connected to the many events and opportunities for adventure we enjoy as a part of the northern California lifestyle.

Here are a few local happenings we’re particularly looking forward to this summer:

Jelly Belly Factory Tours (Ongoing)

Did you know that Fairfield is home to the Jelly Belly® jelly bean? It’s true! Guests can enjoy tours and samples at the Jelly Belly factory year-round. This summer, several interactive exhibits have been added to the tour that help visitors get an even closer view of their machinery and the candy making process. Details.

Fairfield Tomato Festival  (Saturday, August 20-Sunday August 21)

Now entering its 25th year, this family-friendly festival offers visitors the opportunity to sample many local heirloom varietals with names like Russian Black, Boxcar Willy, Pink Girl, and Green Zebra. There will also be live music, a carnival and a classic car show. Details.

Food Truck Fridays (4th Friday of every month)

Bring your friends, family and your appetite to Wooden Valley Winery‘s Food Truck Fridays. Enjoy an assortment of street cuisine by local vendors and live music. Details.

Fairfield Farmers Market (Thursdays, Now-October 6)
