2020 at The Ridge
In 2019, The Ridge — Paradise Valley Estates’ new 70-residence expansion to the 76-acre Life Plan Community founded in 1997 — moved from initial development and planning to busy Northern California jobsite. With extensive site preparation and infrastructure work complete as the year opened, The Ridge really began taking shape over 2019.
As future residents were selecting their residences and, later, working with The Ridge’s interiors specialist to plan and select preferred interiors, the neighborhood began undergoing a visible change. Site work was replaced by foundational work, including the villa apartments’ elevator systems and underbuilding parking. With foundations complete, vertical construction of community structures, villas and cottages began to rise against the hillside.
In the fall, future residents were invited to visit Paradise Valley Estates for a guided hard hat tour of The Ridge. Residents walked on the new neighborhood’s soon-to-be-paved, curbed roadways for up-close views of the community’s villas, cottages and community buildings, with some residents able to photograph early site work at their future home.
If 2019 was about transition, then 2020 promises wide-spread progress from individual residences to community-wide amenities such as the new indoor/outdoor dining venue and lounge, art studio and woodworking shop.
Early in 2020, vertical construction of the multi-floor villa apartments will continue upward floor by floor. Framing will begin to dot the roadways as foundations are topped by contemporary two-bedroom cottages. With primary residential construction projected to be complete in the fall of 2020 and move-in anticipated in the spring of 2021, the year ahead is going to be a busy one.
We’ve enjoyed getting to know our future residents — our Summit Club members — over the past year as they’ve joined us for social events, meals and other get togethers.
