Countdown to The Ridge Celebrates New Community Learning Center
The Countdown to Move-In Series continues with the recent completion of Paradise Valley Estates’ new Learning Center at The Ridge. Part of the Life Plan Community’s soon-to-open 8-acre expansion, the 5,400-square-foot building is a space where residents can host and join meetings from 10- to 12-person small group gatherings to larger 100-person events.
The Learning Center’s flexible layout can be split into three separate rooms or fully opened into one large room. Chairs and tables can move into a multitude of layouts to support different types of meetings. The center features ultra-modern audiovisual technology and equipment capable of supporting in-person events as well as livestreaming of meetings and gatherings.
For Paradise Valley Estates resident and meeting organizer Fred Barthmus, the new community space supports very diverse meeting needs. “The new building gives us the opportunity to separate larger classes into three discussion groups which allows for better discussions,” he says. “It is also a great audiovisual facility so we can have simultaneous viewing of multiple screens.”
Just outside, a picturesque dry creek winds through the grounds. The dry creek is a beautiful and functional hardscaping addition that will help move water through the grounds while helping reduce the accompanying runoff and erosion. The building’s patio, which will feature a gas-fueled firepit, will also be a great spot for outdoor gatherings and for yoga and other fitness classes.
The Ridge and community space improvements such as the Learning Center are part of the Paradise Valley Estates master plan with additional updates and projects already underway. The Ridge neighborhood’s thoughtful design and top quality interiors are great indicators that our community’s next chapter is going to be equally beautiful.
