Local Planner: Glashoff Sculpture Ranch
If you’re craving an off-the-beaten path local adventure, make an appointment to visit the Glashoff Sculpture Ranch where internationally-known metal sculptors Phillip and Chad Glashoff have created a whimsical sculptural paradise right in the Suisun Valley.
On the way, you’ll notice many creative mailboxes dotting the landscape. Phil made it an art project to create custom mailboxes in the area within “the loop” — Rockville Road to Mankas Corner and Suisun Valley. The mailboxes, which can be custom-designed and purchased, range from a mailman and barn to a catfish and dragon to anything you can dream up.
When you arrive at the ranch, you can wander among countless one-of-a-kind sculptures that line the property or watch the sculptors in action as they assemble large and small pieces of art. The ranch also is home a range of exotic farms animals which graze in the ranch pastures.
Join their mailing list to find out about upcoming events, like them on Facebook or call (707) 427-8060 to visit and view the collection. The ranch, which is open to visitors by appointment only, is located at 5402 Williams Rd in Fairfield, CA (94534).
