Travis AFB Retiree Appreciation Day

For more than 20 years, Travis Air Force Base has hosted an annual Retiree Appreciation Day. The event, held in 2017 on Saturday, October 7, is designed to show appreciation for the service of former military members and their families and to keep them informed about medical care and resources that are available to them as retired military service men and women.

While the schedule varies, visitors are often treated to a continental breakfast, briefs about the base’s current activities and the services provided at David Grant, several speakers, a delicious lunch, musical entertainment, aircraft displays and tours, and informational booths provided by vendors and community groups. For the 2017 event, visitors had the opportunity to tour a C-17 and meet the crew and also to see both a KC-10 and C-5.

Make plans to attend this great event. Visit the Travis Air Force Base Retiree Activities Office website to learn more about the future Retiree Appreciation Days and other retiree-focused events.
