Cult of the Machine Opening at de Young

This March brings a new exhibition to the De Young Museum in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. The Cult of the Machine will be on display from March 24, 2018 until August 12, 2018.

Highlighting Precisionism — a style that emerged in America in the teens and flourished during the 1920s and 1930s — celebrated a streamlined, “machined” aesthetic. The large-scale survey will feature more than 100 masterworks of American Precisionism by such modernists as Charles Sheeler, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Charles Demuth.
