“My mother moved into a CCRC when she was 93 so we saw the value of growing older within a community with a range of medical care,” said Marilyn. “What really struck us, were the financial implications. You might consider a community because there ‘s a low entry fee, but you have to be very careful. You may end up paying double, even triple that fee per month down the road.”
What do you like about life in Paradise Valley Estates?
“We were really drawn by the aura here,” Bob said. “Our windows overlook the hillside so we see turkeys and cattle roaming the countryside. It’s a really nice neighborhood – not too isolated. You also meet people quickly when you live here. Everyone is nice.”
How would you describe the culinary scene?
“We have the best chefs around,” laughed Bob. “The local restaurants can’t touch the food we enjoy every day.” Marilyn added, “Something I like is that we’re not assigned seats. You can have a table for two, join a table with another couple, or create a table for four. That’s been an enjoyable way to meet people and it’s over a wonderful meal, too.”
Marilyn and Bob saw the immediate benefits of living in a community that allowed them to make the most of their days today while securing their long-term needs.
