The bulldozers, front loaders and cement mixers have been busy at Paradise Valley Estates (PVE). We are under construction! In March, construction began on a new, two-level parking structure that is being built between Quail Creek assisted living and the current sales and marketing office. The project began with demolition of a manor home directly across from the marketing office. That was the lunchtime entertainment in the office for several days!
The parking structure will serve residents, staff and guests and will be convenient to the Community Center. It will be well-disguised by landscaping and is designed to blend into the center of the community. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of the summer.
The primary reason for the new parking structure is the expansion of Quail Creek assisted living to now include a state-of-the-art memory care program. To complete this important expansion, the parking between Quail Creek and the main drive into the community will be eliminated.
The expansion of Quail Creek will include 18 private rooms and a dedicated, self-contained community to serve those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia. While Paradise Valley Estates currently serves those individuals needing memory support, this new part of the community will employ current thinking in design and programming in a social setting.
The new memory care is already in the early stages of construction, including demolition of the Quail Creek parking lot and moving of utilities. The overall construction is expected to take about 18 months. Both residents and staff are excited about this addition to PVE’s continuum of care services.
